The caramelized apple | Comfort Foodie & Co.
Ingredients for 8 caramelized apples 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 4 cloves sing in to taste red food coloring 8 apples 50 g honey 200 ml water 900 g sugar
To prepare the haunted caramelized apples, wash the apples, dry them thoroughly and remove sing in the stalk. Skewered each apple with a sturdy wooden stick for skewers and set them aside. Now you begin to prepare the caramel: Place in a small saucepan rather narrow and thick-bottomed 200 ml of warm water and sugar. Melt over low heat, add the sugar and honey. Continue to cook until the syrup reaches 100 about: it is necessary to use a food thermometer for this operation. If you use the dye powder pour much as is needed to reach an intense color and stemperatelo with a few drops of water in a small bowl. Alternatively you can use dye liquid or gel. Add the dye to the boiling syrup, vanilla extract, cinnamon and cloves. Be very careful not to touch any splashes and the caramel with your hands, because it reaches the high temperatures that can cause very serious burns. Stir and simmer over moderate heat until the temperature has reached 150 degrees. Remove the pan from the heat, remove the cloves and tilt it slightly, then dip in caramel apples one by one and roteandole, cover them with a thin layer of caramel. Drain the apples on top of the pan and then place them on a wire rack under which you will place a sheet of parchment paper. As soon as the haunted caramelized apples are cold (to avoid the risk of burning sing in with caramel) Serve immediately.
