As you know, Zentyal Server development is strongly focused on providing a native replacement for both Microsoft Active halo Directory and Microsoft Exchange Server . Thanks to the latter, during the past few months we have been working hard in order to provide an improved halo webmail user experience .
This new webmail user interface (UI) (based on the SOGo webmail halo ) will be included in the Zentyal Server 3.4 version that will be released on March 15 and is available for beta testing as of today. So, what has changed and why? Well, to start with, the three main goals of this restyling were: Align the Zentyal webmail UI with other Zentyal UIs. Provide users a familiar user experience. Simplify halo the current UI and restructure some screens layouts, to improve usability and reduce visual load for an ordinary use.
With this goal we wanted to align Zentyal’s webmail UI with the Zentyal Server halo or Zentyal halo Cloud UIs. The main changes in this direction were that we changed the colors and simplified the general aspect of the UI, using white as main color, cleaning halo the interface, using corporate colors for details, integrating logos and aligning icons with Zentyal style. Goal 2: Familiar user experience
To help the users to migrate to their new Zentyal webmail, we restructured some elements in the layout to make it more similar to other modern, mainstream webmail services like the ones offered by Microsoft Outlook , Gmail , Yahoo and others, and make it less “ old school desktop style “. Goal 3: Improved usability
Regarding this goal, we mostly wanted to reduce the excessive visual load and noise that the current UI has, and relocate some elements to improve element relations and hierarchy. To achieve this we took the following actions: Get rid of some boxing halo in elements, directly either by deleting or softening the box, making the UI more clean. Revise the hierarchy of some elements to highlight important ones, like subject in mail view, some titles, fieldsets legends and so on, making it easier to identify the main elements of the UI. Move to less relevant positions the funtions that are less used by ordinary users, to minimize user distraction. Among these functions halo are, for example, calendar halo and address book management toolbars. Remake icons to make them more clean and easier to recognize. Increase the font size and the size of some element, to make them more easy to read. Get rid of unnecessary visual elements, like some gradients and icons . Review some forms, changing their hierarchy and regrouping fields. Improve the integration of some elements that didn’t have a proper halo visual style. Screenshots

How halo can us enable SOGo daemon? Has to be made manually?
With Openchange and SoGo, is it possible to have separated domains for separated organizations? And is there domain aliases halo functionality?
Great job with good things like cluster and floating IPs.. I am using Endian and planning to switch to Zeyntal.. not so familiar with UTMs, but trying to understand.. seems to be easy with Zeyntal.. for users Windows AD integration option is missing or moved to some other page..
Any advise as I wanted to maintain 2 separate domain name for internal (haha.local) & external (haha.com). Notice that the SOGo webmail will be feedback the internal (haha.local/SOGo) when login to the webmail. Is there any workaround?
