If your inbox is receiving a lot of emails, it is probably because you also are writint a lot of emails.  Want less? Send less of it as well! Even better, limit you messages to only important stuff that can be covered in 3 to 5 lines. It may be difficult but the more you practise the better it gets. Start by eliminating all the blah blah nonsense chit-chat. Just a simple hello and jump to the core message. Think of it, with overwhelming micro messages coming from Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube, Pinterest, Tumblr and who-knows-where, no one has time to read long passages. If you need to share an article or a nice message you found on a blog somewhere, just take a few lines from the paragraph(s) of what you think is important, and add a link to "Read More". That way you even help the other person in the receiving android market end to have less clutter in their inbox, meanwhile, helping promote the referenced website/blog with more visitors, which in-turn, encourages the owner to have more useful stuff for people to keep coming back.
